ZERO WASTE IN LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN


Sustainability is one of the keywords which resonate not only within the European Union but Worldwide for several years. The climate crises and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic reveal the vulnerability of established industries and supply chains.

Logistics become the key to success so as the ground stone for Successful transformation and with this the aspects of sustainability and ZERO WASTE supported by the green dea GREEN DEAL, CLIMATE EMERGENCY, SDG GOALS related actions become MUST for everyone including companies, entrepreneurs so as corporations, government and individuals.

In 2020 during the pandemic started to resonate one more word and name INDUSTRY 5.0.
The reason was not a new term, but the results which under the name have been already been delivered since 2013. Results delivering transformation of businesses and industries being in line with SDG GOALS two years before the goals have been introduced.

Based on the principles of systematic waste prevention INDUSTRY 5.0 principles has been able to prevent more than ONE MILLION TONS of WASTE to be created in just five years time, saving resources, money, and time without the need for capital investment represented the true ZERO WASTE not only in the industrial environment. On January 7, 2021, implemented by the EUROPEAN COMMISSION to the EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK and discussed on October 2021 on the ground of the United Nations, INDUSTRY 5.0 is one of the leading industrial trends of the decade, and today’s presentation and discussion will outline its tools, methods, and strategies, applied already in 90 countries.
